It's about getting the numbers right!

Latest Xoops & Core74 news

Although we now belong to the official “Xoops Theme Development Team”, the progress is slow. Slow? Well, kinda frozen if you ask me.
The main reason for this is,.,.uhh,. well I don”t know.

But knowing Xoops for all those years I think/guess it is something political. I hate politics!

So where are we now?

Well, no where. Our team leader has brought his pencils back to Xoops, an action we have followed as well. The main reason for us to be in the team was because of it”s leader. A man with a vision who didn”t get the attention he needed to bring Xoops to a higher level. Sad? Well yes. Xoops now missed a chance to be a ”really” great (Design, SEO, functionality, etc wise) cms. Now Xoops never will loose it”s Phpnuke legacy and remains what it always was, a Phpnuke fork.

Aren”t you too hard?

Yes I am, it”s more frustration that is talking rather then my rational side. However, we will keep supporting Xoops, just a little less then we intended to.

Should we use or continue using Xoops?

Yes please, I believe among all those Xoops users there are people who are able to push red flagged buttons which will change the face of Xoops forever. It just wasn”t meant to be for us to give something new at this moment.

Final word.

Although we will not communicate our leaving on Xoops.org (we will not feed the sharks, but will fight them if needed), we now officially quit the Design team. We are not going to write about this any further, and look at it as a lesson of life. We wish all official and unofficial teams good luck, and we are sure we will meet once again.
